UFC 258: Usman vs. Burns LIVE Stream Online

UFC 258: Usman vs. Burns is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will take place on February 13, 2021 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

The two were originally supposed to fight at UFC 251 before Burns had to bow out after testing positive for COVID-19. Jorge Masvidal was a last-minute replacement and lost to Usman by unanimous decision.

ESPN's Brett Okamoto reported Jan. 4 that Usman and Burns had agreed to terms for a title bout and merely needed to sign the contracts.

Burns is the No. 2 challenger in UFC's welterweight rankings. The 34-year-old Brazilian last fought in May at UFC on ESPN 9, earning a unanimous-decision win over Tyron Woodley. He has been victorious in his last six fights dating back to 2018.

Usman, meanwhile, sports a 17-1 record in MMA. His lone defeat came in May 2013 and was his second professional fight. Usman captured the welterweight championship from Woodley at UFC 235, and he made a successful defense against Colby Covington at UFC 245 before taking down Masvidal.

With UFC announcing the location as Las Vegas, UFC 258 will presumably emanate from the APEX training facility, which will host UFC Fight Night 184 one week prior.

While many believe Usman is starting to be recognized as one of the greatest welterweights of all time prior to this bout, the man himself isn’t interested in any of that.

“Honestly, I don’t look at that. I don’t think about that,” Usman told MMA Fighting ahead of UFC 258. “I don’t think about stuff like that. I remember when Tyron Woodley was saying those things, he’s the greatest welterweight of all time and this and that. Of course he’s in that conversation but that’s not something you bestow upon yourself. That’s not something I want to think about and say I’m this, I’m that.

“No, I go out there and I do my job,” the UFC 258 headliner added. “I take it one fight at a time and then when I am done over time people look at your body of work and say ‘wow, look what he did, look who he got through, he fought everyone and he made them look like this and he fought them and did them this way.’ I’m not the one who’s going to go out there and put that label on myself but if you actually look at my resume and when I’m said and done and you’re like ‘he 50-43’d this guy, 50-44’d this guy, he did this to that guy, man, that’s the greatest of all time.’”

UFC 258 takes place on Feb. 13 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and is headlined by a welterweight title clash between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns. The main card airs on pay-per-view via ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, while prelims air on ESPN+ beginning at 6:15 p.m. ET/3:15 PT and on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Miller will make his 37th promotional appearance at UFC 258. The New Jersey native went 1-2 in 2020 and is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Vinc Pichel at UFC 252 this past August.

Green was productive during the pandemic, as he rattled off successive decision triumphs over Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alan Patrick to begin his 2020 campaign. Most recently, however, “King” was outpointed by Thiago Moises at UFC Fight Night 181 on Oct. 31.
